VideoWave Editor Overview
VideoWave
is the video-editing program
where you create your Productions.
VideoWave includes the familiar menu bar
that features Command categories like File,
Edit, View, etc. There are also various
video-specific commands such as Capture
and Import under the File menu, and other
various video commands under the Production
menu ~ like ones for adding transitions
and effects.
Many of these
commands are also accessible either from
the Task pane, or by clicking on an icon,
or by right clicking and choosing from a
context menu.
VideoWave
is basically divided into four parts:
1.
The Task pane from which
you can add your media, overlays, transitions,
and effects.
2.
The Preview Area, which
contains the Preview Window
where you can view your production as you
build it. The Preview Area also contains
a tool bar for working with the images and
video you have added to your production.
This tool bar is specific to whatever is
showing in the Preview Window. The Preview
Window also contains controls like a VCR
or DVD player, to go forward, back, play,
etc., a jog wheel that lets you scroll back
and forth within your production, as well
as a few more buttons that let you control
the duration of effects. You can increase
and decrease the size of the preview window
by clicking and dragging.
3.
The Docking Area is where
you can dock the various tools panels for
faster editing access to the current item
in the Preview Window.
4.
The Production Editor is
where you add all of your production elements.
The Production Editor contains the Storyline
View and the Timeline View,
which are only accessible one at a time.
You can either have Storyline View open
or the Timeline View open. Timeline View
offers an advanced view, while Storyline
View is a bit less complicated and may be
easier to work with when you are first starting
out with VideoWave.
